At Harris Organic (named Harris in this policy document), your right to privacy
and data security is important to us.
We are committed to the Australian Federal Government's privacy legislation
and the National Privacy Principles (NPP's) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (as amended by the Privacy Amendment (Private
Sector) Act 2000 (Cth)).
We will not pass on any of your information to other parties (without your consent); and
we will use our best endeavours to protect your personal information and ensure its accuracy.
Your details are collected when you subscribe to our Newsletters and place an order with us - so
that we may facilitate delivery of your order. Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as email and
mailing addresses), that information is only accessible to employees who need the information to perform a
specific job.
These details are required to be passed on to freight companies so that orders may be delivered.
The freight companies that we deal with together with our IT consultants and Internet Service Provider
are all committed to upholding the NPP's.
The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable
information are also kept in a secure environment. The personal information provided by our customers or by those
who have requested to be added to our email or Newsletter list is solely the property of Harris and this is never
given, sold or otherwise transmitted to a third party.
Several times per year we may send out information
regarding news at Harris Organic, new releases of organic wine and special offers. If you do not wish to receive this information please
advice us and we will remove your personal information from our mail order database. If at any time the customer or
subscriber no longer wants to be included in communications from Harris, electronic or otherwise, please notify Harris
by mail, phone or email and we will promptly honor this request.
Please note that all customers will be notified
by email of changes to this policy that might affect one’s privacy, using the individual customer email addresses that
Harris has on file in our customer database.
For this reason, customers are advised to keep us informed of email address changes.
